Most women suffer from candida at one point or another in their life. Candida can alter your lifestyle and inhibit daily productivity and energy. If you think you might have a candida overgrowth it is important to act fast.

There are different types of Candida, but the most common one is a yeast infection. A yeast infection can occur in both men and women and can be transferred through intercourse.

Common signs of a yeast infection in women are:

  • Itching in the vaginal area
  • Soreness
  • Redness
  • Vaginal discharge, usually white and clumpy
  • Painful intercourse

Common signs of a yeast infection in men are:

  • Red rash on the penis
  • Itching of the tip of the penis
  • Burning sensation at the tip of the penis

Long term yeast infections can lead to a more severe case of candida. The long term or severe symptoms may include:

  • Reoccurring yeast infections
  • Brain fog
  • Digestive problems (similar to IBS)
  • Weakened immune system
  • Fatigue
  • Headaches

Treating candida can be very easy or it can be very difficult. For a light case of candida (yeast infection) it only takes a trip to your local pharmacy to pick up a use-once ointment/ gel/ capsule and there you go. Others may need to consult their doctor for prescribed medicine.

To prevent candida, there are a few simple steps you can following. Exercise daily, even if it’s just a brisk walk to the supermarket. Eat healthily. Stay away form yeast containing foods, high sugar foods and processed food. Consume probiotics daily, to help fight those hated candida cells.

You can also opt for Ozone Therapy. Ozone has proven to fight fungus and bacteria. Ozone will also help restore the balance in the colon, kill the bad colon bacteria and will increase the oxygen in your body. Treating your yeast infection with Ozone can be done in two different ways. One, by sitting inside an Ozone Sauna, where steam, ozone and far infrared is introduced into the capsule and absorbed through your skin. Each session takes about 30 minutes, view our branches here. You can also opt for Vaginal Insufflation. This is done by placing a catheter about 1cm into the vagina and releasing the Ozone, this session should only be done for 30 seconds. Both these treatments are done with an Ozone Sauna.

If you think you are suffering from a yeast infection/ candida, we advise you to act fast.
