What is the Healing Crisis?

As we all know, detox is very good for you, in the long run. But for first and second time detoxers it can be quite an unpleasant experience. It’s called the Healing Crisis, also known as the Detox Reaction or Cleansing Reaction. The human body accumulates bacterial colonies and environmental toxins that is stored in fat tissue. During detox, these cells get dislodged and enter your bloodstream to start the process of filtering and eliminating these toxins. During this period these toxins can temporarily impact your well being. You will experience temporary signs of illness.

What are the symptoms?

There are quite a few symptoms, but below you will see the most common ones. A healing crisis should only last for a few days. Should any of these symptoms continue, it will be best to consult your GP.

Healing crisis and Ozone Therapy.

Each individual will have a different reaction to Ozone Therapy. Some individuals will experience few symptoms and others many. You should welcome the healing crisis as a sign of beneficial healing.

Remember the more frequent the treatments, the more rapid the healing and the more severe the healing reactions will be. Should the symptoms become too uncomfortable, you can reduce the frequency of treatments from once daily to once weekly or whatever suits you best. But whatever you do – do not stop! If you stop your sessions for a few weeks, you body will accumulate all the toxins again and you will have to start all over.

For first time Ozone Sauna users, it is best to only go for 1-3 sessions a week. After about 2-3 weeks you can increase the sessions gradually. Ozone Therapy can be enjoyed on a daily basis, it all depends on you.
