Ozone Therapy and Sports Injuries

Regular exercise is great for your overall health. We should all get at least 30 minutes of exercise every day. This does not necessarily have to include heavy exercise. Some of us are built for endurance, others for strength, balance or flexibility. You need to find the perfect combo for you.

The difference between the 4 types of exercise is:

  • Endurance – jogging, brisk walking, cycling and swimming
  • Strength – weight lifting and body lifting.
  • Balance – heel to toe walk, slack-lining and other exercises which include standing on one foot.
  • Flexibility – yoga, tai-chi, gymnastics and other types of stretching

For a perfect workout it is best to combine all the above mentioned. Endurance training is the most difficult to keep up. If you have issues with your weight or if you have weak ankles, choose between cycling or swimming as this puts the least amount of stress on your joins. Strength training is not for everyone. Only do what your body allows you to do. Balance and flexibility training go hand in hand. Join a local yoga class and practise at least 3 times per week.

Unfortunately, we will all get some sort of sport injury at one point or another. These injuries can include; sprains and strains, stiff muscles, knee injuries, achilles tendon injuries, pain along the shin bone, fractures or dislocations. To best prevent an injury always stretch before and after an exercise session. Never do more than what your body is capable of. Getting into shape takes time, if you push your body too far, an injury is imminent.

To prevent or treat sports injuries you can opt for Ozone Steam Sauna Therapy. Ozone Therapy breaks up lactic acid, improves blood circulation, increases the oxygen in your muscles, reduces inflammation, aids in healthy muscle growth and speeds up recovery. Always consult with your doctor if a pain persists.
