According to Diabetes UK “ Diabetes is a condition where the amount of glucose in your blood is too high because the body cannot use it properly. This is because your pancreas doesn’t produce any insulin, or not enough insulin, to help glucose enter your body’s cells – or the insulin that is produced does not work properly (known as insulin resistance).”

Signs and symptoms of diabetes can be:

  • Frequent urination
  • Constantly feeling thirsty or hungry (even while eating and drinking)
  • Blurred vision
  • Fatigue
  • Cuts and bruises take a long time to heal
  • Weight loss, although you are eating (Type 1)
  • Numbness, pain or tingling in hands and feet (Type 2)

By living a healthy lifestyle you can delay and in some cases even prevent type 2 diabetes. Eating fresh fruit and vegetables are very important in any diet. Eating less salty, fatty and high sugar containing foods are very important. Young and old should do at least 30 minutes of exercise each day, walking, running or riding your bicycle to the grocery store. Ozone therapy will also improve your chances of not developing diabetes or assist you after diagnosis as it helps improve blood circulation, breaks down excess sugar in the body, neutralizes toxins and impurities in the blood, assists in bodily organs functioning better and helps break down cholesterol.
